week 2 of the bar review

the good news is that i'm not bored anymore. the bad news is that i'm not bored because i'm trying to write everything down and failing. i thought i'd take handwritten notes for the review course. i heard some rumor about learning more by taking notes that way (your mind associates the action of drawing the symbol with meaning or some mumbo jumbo like htat). i haven't taken handwriten notes since undergrad and my hand is poorly out of shape. but the classes are much less boring and go pretty quickly. i'm pretty sure it's impossible to learn all of this before the end of july.

here's some hope for some of you: if you didn't understand constitutional law, don't worry. the bar is about as black letter as you can get and the barbri materials seem to make it much more clear. it's a matter of memorizing, rather than understanding, it at this point. i was concerned because i felt like i was floundering during con law. but the stuff we need to know for the bar is somewhat cut and dry. (the professor explained that this is because the board of bar examiners don't want to have to argue with all of us pre-lawyers on questions that we get wrong if those questions are ambiguous so only cut-and-dry information is tested.)
