the holiday season

for the first time in my memory, i am able to enjoy the holiday season with the tarnish of finals or homework or papers, etc. it's a beautiful thing. i had my christmas tree up the weekend after thanksgiving. i'm almost done with my shopping. i can go get hot chocolate with friends on a weeknight. i can go drive around and look at christmas lights without having to budget my time. i think since the bar has been over, i feel more like a real person than i ever did in law school. it's amazing to be able to spend time with people without feeling guilty for not studying. it's a beautiful thing.
